SOUTHAMERICAN
PAINTINGS.COM
|
Southamericanpaintings.com is a space dedicated to Southamerican art of XIX and early XX century.
The artists that from Europe decided to move to this continent, brought their knowledge and artistic techniques; they created new schools of art in the whole continent, especially in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
The light so bright, the beautiful landscapes and the wonderful cities influenced their art.
After a few decades, a new generations of painters started from a new point of view, not strictly linked to European art, creating a new way, giving new powerful strenght to their works.
This Web site shows a collection of the works of some of these artists, and gives some information about them.
Every new information about the artist, like exhibition, or general info are welcome.
Also some of the paintings are from unknown or not recognised artists, so every information about them would be appreciated.
